Youth Programs & Tutoring Services for Middle & High School Students
Our humanities-focused programs are designed for students to interactively explore creative subjects and non-technical personal interests through faciliated discussions, curated reading lists, film critiques, and guided writing activities.
These courses supplement school curricula with focused goals aimed at academic and personal enrichment.
Our part-time tutoring services provide supportive, student-centered writing instruction that help middle- and high-school students communicate ideas clearly and confidently. Tutoring is tailored to each student's goals and may support academic, personal, or creative writing assignments.
In-person and virtual program/tutoring offerings are available.
Service Offerings

A faciliated book club centered on age-appropriate fiction.
Group sessions combine guided discussion with literary exploration and an optional written or creative response.
Builds reading comprehension
Encourages development of public speaking skills
Strengthens critical thinking
Clubs are 6 weeks in duration. $240 per student.

A structured writing workshop for youth using brief readings, mentor texts, age & topic appropriate film presentations, themed writing prompts & guided discussions to enhance each participant’s writing style and technique. Along with individual writing time, students will also have the opportunity to share their work with peers.
This group is for enrichment only and is not a replacement for an ELA curriculum.
6 week program duration. $300 per student.

Moderated discussions and in-person or virtual field trips. Age appropriate literature, film, and technology resources are used to explore mainstream American culture and the Black American subculture, exploring themes on identity, history, community experiences through multiple perspectives.
6-week program duration. $250 per student.

Writing/Written Communication support offered in part-time, individualized or small group tutoring sessions.
Support includes:
• Brainstorming, prewriting, and idea development
• Organization, main ideas, thesis statements, and paragraph development
• Voice, clarity, description, and audience awareness
• Drafting, revising, editing, grammar, and sentence-level improvement
• Constructive feedback and strategies for independent writing
We’re approved Direct Pay providers for Step Up for Students scholarships for our youth enrichment programs and part-time tutoring services.
