Books & Wine is an intimate literary gathering designed for people who crave meaningful conversation, cultural reflection, and a softer way to connect. Hosted by Engage & Elevate Collective at Black English Bookstore in Tampa, this evening centers Neighbors by Diane Oliver, a powerful collection that invites us to examine identity, belonging, tension, and the stories we carry about the people around us.

Ideal for readers, writers, book lovers, and culturally curious people who want a thoughtful evening around literature, identity, and community.

You do not have to finish the entire book to attend. Together, we’ll read a selected passage, ease into thoughtful discussion, and create space for reflection over wine, light refreshments, and conversation that lingers beyond the final page. This is not a traditional book club. It is a curated experience for busy people who want to step out of routine, engage with intention, and leave feeling more connected, grounded, and inspired.

What you can expect:

  • A warm, intimate bookstore atmosphere designed for meaningful connection

  • A guided reading selection and discussion, so you can fully participate even if you have not finished the book

  • Thought-provoking conversation around story, identity, community, and reflection

  • One glass of wine included with your ticket, plus light refreshments

  • A relaxed evening to meet like-minded individuals who value depth, culture, and intentional experiences

Please support a local business by making your purchase of the book at the Black English Bookstore.

For women, journal-ers, and reflective writers who are carrying too much and need a quiet, guided space to write, release, reflect, and begin again.

A Reflection Room Experience

Sometimes what we need most isn't another podcast, another book, or another busy weekend.

Sometimes we simply need space.

The Written Reset is an intimate Reflection Room experience created for those who are ready to slow down, quiet the noise, and reconnect with themselves through guided conversation, intentional journaling, and meaningful reflection.

This experience is centered on one powerful idea:

Freedom begins within.

Together, we'll explore what it means to release what we've been carrying, rediscover what matters most, and create space for what's next.

Whether you're navigating a life transition, recovering from burnout, seeking clarity, or simply craving an afternoon of peace, you'll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and better connected to yourself.

This isn't therapy.
This isn't a lecture.
This isn't networking.

It's a thoughtfully curated atmosphere where reflection becomes the experience. This is a soft place to put down what you've been carrying.

Tickets are $45 per person and your experience includes:

  • A guided Reflection Room discussion

  • Intentional journaling prompts

  • A brand-new journal to use during the experience and take home

  • The Freedom Release Ritual (supplies included)

  • A commemorative keepsake to remember your commitment to yourself

  • Tea and light refreshments

  • A welcoming, beautifully curated environment designed for rest and renewal

Come exactly as you are.
Leave with a little more freedom than you brought.
